A couple of weeks ago, our whole company ran the Convini relay – during work hours. Most of the training? At a bit longer lunches. And thanks to a solid integration platform and AI, it’s actually possible without losing efficiency.
A few years ago, I never would’ve believed I could spend an hour a day training – and still feel like work was running smoother than ever. But here we are. At our company, AI and smart automations handle much of the grunt work in the background, giving us more time for both clients and ourselves.
When CRM worked against me
One big time-thief used to be the sales process and the systems around it. Back then, CRM felt more like punishment than support. Endless fields to fill in, constant reminders pinging, and duplicate reporting that still didn’t add up in the end. Enough to drain anyone.
Now, AI helps us enrich data, flag errors, and even suggest next steps. Instead of typing numbers into a system, I go for a run while it does the work. It almost feels like cheating, but it’s really just work-life balance, when it’s more than a buzzword at the annual kickoff.
Balancing people and machines
The best part? AI doesn’t replace customer meetings, it frees up time for them. I can show up better prepared, with the full history at hand, and still have energy left.
So when someone worries AI will take over the jobs of salespeople, consultants, or journalists, I tend to smile a little. For me, AI has done the opposite. It’s given me more time to be human, both at the gym and with clients.
